Precautions For Using Graphite Electrodes

1 . Please refer to current load and density when make a choice of electrode size.

 2 . Rain, snow and water should be kept away during the transportation and storage of electrode and pre-dry be before use.

 3 . In the process of loading, unloading and transportation, careful handling and special hanger are appreciated in case the damage of thread.

 4 . Compressed air should be used to clear the dust from thread of electrode before nipple and electrode be connected, and make sure that nipple and electrode are properly twisted.

 5 . If iron nipple are used in hoisting the electrode, to make sure that thread of iron nipple are not deformed, in order to avoid the damage of thread of electrode.

 6 . When the electrodes are connected the terminal surface between the electrodes should be integrated closely for certain span with moment spanner.

 7 . During the operation, the elevator of arc furnace should be stable, so that the situation of electrode joints be loosened or dislocated can be avoided.

 8 . The electrode clasper must be within the safety line during the operation.

 9 . To prevent breakage of electrode from scrap cave - ins, the electrode should be up or down according to the melting condition and push the unmelted waste steel to the furnace pond.

 10 . To have a good effects of dislocation protection, graphite pin and plug are available in our company and convenient for use.

 11 . Before the use of anti-oxidation electrode, to make sure a good connection, the material that separated from the socket should be cleared away.
