The process of belt type roasting machine is affected and developed from sintering technology. It is a very mature process for pellet production. In the past, restricted by raw materials, fuel, manufacturing materials and other conditions, the development of process is relatively slow in China but rapid abroad. Its entire process: dry, preheating, baking and cooling are completed on the equipment with a simple process, compact layout, light weight of required equipment and other characteristics. That creates the conditions for reducing the factory area, reducing the quantities, achieving the recycling of roasting gas to reduce heat consumption and electricity consumption.

NHI roasting machine specially adapted to the requirements of expanding production scale and achieving large-scale. The maximum is 750 m2, and the single output has reached more than 5 million t. In the 1980s, NHI has trial-produced trolley for Anshan Steel Group and Baotou Steel Group. And in 2012, NHI signed 388.5m2 roasting machine supply contract with Middle East user, which design capacity is 2.5 million t/a. That achieves the breakthrough on design and manufacturing of domestic belt type roasting equipment.
