Section mill is one kind of important equipment in metallurgical mills. The rolls of the section mills are cut into several holes with different specifications based on the requirements of product applications and specifications. According to the requirements of rolling techniques , the section mills roll the incoming billets plenty of passes to be different products such as angle iron, I beam and channel steel.
 
There are many categories of section mills. They are commonly divided into large, medium and small section mills by the roll diameters, eg. Φ350/450 section mills produced by our company. They also can be divided into single stand mills, open-train mills, and in-line rolling mills and staggered rolling mills in accordance with layouts. Another classification of section mills is in light of various steel types, they can be divided into structural mills, H type steel mills and ball flat steel mills.
 
Our company boasts more than fifty years of history in designing and producing section mills which have several specifications such asΦ300、Φ400，Φ500，Φ550，Φ650㎜.In 2012, our company produced ball flat steel mills for the large factory of Anshan Iron and Steel Company to mainly produce military products that had high efficiency and stable quality. The section mills with various specifications produced by our company adopt forged steel structure, capless stand and AD/DC motor drive. Our company is one of the earliest one to design and produce section mills in China. Both complete sets of steel mills and single equipments that possess the characteristics of reasonable structures, convenient maintenance and operational safety receive good reputations from the users. At present, NHI is able to design and produce section mills with various specifications based on users’ requirements.
