Double side trim shear is a kind of equipment for cutting large scale medium and heavy plates which is formed during the development of medium and heavy plates cutting equipment. Double side trim shears is used in the shearing line of medium and heavy plates, cutting steel plates after leveler and cooling along longitudinal two sides into production specification, to achieve controlling the thickness of plates accurately.

At present domestic double side trim shears mainly have two types, divided into mechanical and hydraulic. The mechanical type is also divided into inclined wedge adjustment type and eccentric shaft adjustment type.

On the basis of double sides trim shears special technology from West Germany MDS Company, NHI developed double sides trim shears in nineteen nineties through cooperative design, transformation and absorption. The double side trim shears developed and designed by NHI have following characteristics, large range of cutting thickness (steel plates thickness is between 4~50mm) , smoothly cutting section, no steps, no bending, high production, less energy consumption, long lifetime, high automatic and so on. Recently, NHI owns international main two types double side trim shears through cooperative with large scale steel equipments manufacturers such as Germany SMS and Voestalpine. At present, NHI is the only manufacturer which is able to design, manufacture, assemble and commission for double side trim shears in China.
