The leakage of railway tunnels has long been a critical issue, causing problems such as lining corrosion, safety hazards for train operations, equipment damage, and even ground collapse (e.g., cases in Sichuan Karst areas).

Traditional waterproofing methods face significant challenges:

  • Water channeling occurs when the waterproof membrane is damaged in composite linings, relying heavily on secondary linings
  • Welding defects and punctures during construction are common problems

Technological innovation: A shift from "raincoat-style waterproofing" to "skin-style waterproofing" concept, supported by China Academy of Railway Sciences research projects (2014YJ064, 2015G002-F)

2. Experimental Research on Reactive Adhesive Waterproofing Membrane

Structure and Principle

Three-layer structure: EVA base layer + non-bituminous polymer self-adhesive layer + anti-stick coating

Design principle: The plastic gel buffer layer resists impact, while the reactive adhesive layer forms a chemical bond with concrete
